Shawna Steger

Shawna graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in August, 2007 with a degree in Early Child Development and Family Relations. She started at the YMCA child care center right out of college as an Assistant Supervisor for the center, later taking over as director in 2008.

“I love working with children because it is so rewarding. Watching all of the children grow and develop is an amazing thing to be able to witness. Helping them learn their ABCs, tying shoes and other basic skills before they enter kindergarten is very fun.”
