Swim Lessons

Swim lessons are offered for ages 3 years-13-year-olds. All the children are separated by age, but most importantly by their skill level. When signing up for swim lessons it is best to be as honest as possible about your child’s comfort in the water. The swim instructor, Gina will place your child in the best class off of the information you give her.

Beginner Class:

This class is designed for children that will learn to gain confidence in the water by being introduced to basic water skills such as becoming comfortable in the water by getting their faces wet, going under, blowing bubbles, floating, jumping in and going underwater, and front paddling and back padding with assistance.  There are fun games and songs that we utilize to make it a fun learning environment for all children.

Intermediate Class:

This class is to develop personal water safety and basic swimming skills.  The children will learn to float, swim backstroke and freestyle with their faces in the water, jumping in the water with little or no assistance.

Advanced Class:

This class introduces and refines each stroke technique.  Having mastered the basic skills of swimming, the children will build their stroke technique and develops a better understanding of water safety.

All levels are taught water safety, how to enter and exit the pool safely, and what to do when that child or someone is in danger.
